The Paloma, the dove, comes from Mexico and is there what the Radler is in Germany: the drink for the afternoon. In Europe it became popular with the tequila boom after 2015, because it is lighter than a Margarita and lasts longer.

The Paloma lives off the grapefruit: soda from the bottle makes it sweet, fresh juice with soda makes it bitter and dry. In the beach clubs of Ibiza and Marbella it now belongs on every menu.
