Ingredients

5 cl vanilla vodka
3 cl passion fruit purée or one fresh fruit
1.5 cl passion fruit liqueur
1.5 cl lime juice
1 cl vanilla syrup
5 cl prosecco in a shot glass

Glass: Coupe plus a shot glass of prosecco
Garnish: Half a passion fruit

Method

Shake all ingredients except the prosecco hard with ice.
Double-strain into the coupe.
Float half a passion fruit on top.
Serve the prosecco in a shot glass alongside, to sip with or after.

Douglas Ankrah invented the drink in 2002 at the Townhouse in London and named it after his idea of what a porn star would drink. The name never hurt it: the Pornstar Martini has been Britain's most ordered cocktail for years and is standard in the beach clubs from Marbella to Mallorca.

It is sweet, fruity, tropical and still a martini in form. Anyone who sneers at it has not had a good one: with fresh passion fruit and dry prosecco it is a perfect party drink.
